We have a full-time position to join our small successful Project management team offering support to schools in and around Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, and Shropshire. Job Type: Full time

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (part time considered).

Job Location: Field/home based – Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, and Shropshire.

 

Job Description

As a Building Surveyor you will be joining a team responsible for the delivery of construction projects ranging from Classroom refurbishments to new build classroom blocks or extensions.  The work offers a wide range of interesting work and is supported by the team when needed.

Qualifications

How to be a successful candidate

To be successful in this position, you will need 3 year’s previous experience working within a Building Surveyor role and ideally within the education environment.

In addition to the above you will also need to demonstrate the following:

  • HNC in Surveying or related discipline, or equivalent level of knowledge acquired from the on-the-job training or experience.
  • In depth knowledge of building condition issues and where they can be found in school buildings and other structures, what are their likely causes and what remedial works are required (building pathology).
  • Driving Licence and use of own vehicle is required (mileage paid at competitive rate)
  • Ability to work under own initiative and mange own workload.
  • Good IT skills and interpersonal skills with a client focussed approach.
  • Ability to provide support and guidance on condition matters to clients.
  • A knowledge of the risks associated with Asbestos-Containing Materials (ACMs) and where they may be found in schools.

This role does require an Enhanced DBS check.
